Pastor – Rev. Joseph Fisher
Pastor Joe was born & grew up in Buckhannon, West Virginia. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Later he attended West Va. Wesleyan College (WVWC) where he met his wife Laura. He entered pastoral ministry in 1987. The Fisher’s married in 1988 & graduated from WVWC in 1990. Joe earned a B.A. with dual majors in Christian Education & Religion. A few years later the Fisher’s both graduated from Emory Candler School of Theology in Atlanta, Georgia earning their Master of Divinity degrees. In 1994 they returned to ministry in WV. Through a chain of events the Fisher’s came to ministry in FL in 1996 & in 1999 Joe transferred from the West Va. UMC to the Florida UMC as an ordained Elder. He served various Methodist churches in FL from 1996-2004. Then in 2004 Joe sensed a call to return to the Air Force this time as a military chaplain & officer. With his prior-enlisted time & 16-years as a chaplain, Joe retired from the military in Nov. 2020 with 22-years of active duty service. His journey has now taken him full circle returning to pastoral ministry in FL & St Andrew. Joe loves all things “air & space,” and both he and Laura are history buffs & nature lovers. They are delighted to live here in Titusville & the “Space Coast” area & are thrilled to join the St Andrew family!
