Brief info

Pastor Joe Fisher hails originally from West Virginia and values his Appalachian heritage. He describes himself as a born storyteller. His passions are preaching & teaching. His hobbies include nature, art, music, & computers.  After high school in WV, he enlisted in the US Air Force. After four years Joe returned home to Buckhannon, WV where he attended college at West Virginia Wesleyan College and met his wife of 32 years. While an undergraduate student, Joe served as a United Methodist student-pastor. Later he was again a student pastor in the Rome, GA area while he earned his Master of Divinity degree at Emory University in Atlanta. He was ordained as a United Methodist Elder in 1995. Joe served as a full-time pastor in West Virginia & Florida from 1994 to 2004. In 2004 he was endorsed for United Methodist Extension chaplaincy ministry. Joe served 16 years as an active-duty U.S. Air Force chaplain ministering around the globe. He retired from the Air Force in 2020 with 22 years of service.
